Trust your instincts. As a writer you need to learn to do this. If you think something doesn’t quite sound right, then it probably doesn’t. If you think a character will choose one way over another, it’s probably because he’s telling you he will. You are the creator, trust your self.

This does not discourage the use of an editor (See yesterdays post) and it does not overrule what sometimes might need changing due to flow or verbosity. It does mean that over time your instincts will give you a good start. Don’t waste it!
