Poetry Once More

Once More

Some inspiration hit me last night. First poem in a while.

Once more unto the wars, they rode
Once more and none to aid them
Once more with bloodied swords in hand
Once more and none to save them

Once more they raised their voice and cried
For loved ones, lost ones, those who died
Once more they battled for the light
Once more into the shadowed land

Where hope is gone and all is night.

Purpose to achieve
But don’t forget the beauty
Breathe in, pause, breathe out

In other news: I’m launching my new #peopleofdfw project. You can find out more here.

Over the next few weeks I’ll be adding some old Haiku I drafted over the last few months. I hope you enjoy.

Down the busy street,

Chasing opportunity.

You missed me again.
