When evil seems harmless

I did the first full introduction to the main villain today. The thing is, you wouldn’t know it. His name hasn’t been uttered and his intent has not yet been revealed. By the end of the meeting between him and Idris though; the reader will know. Yet the evil villain seems so harmless. To be honest, it’s quite a neutral sounding conversation they have with only a hint of foreshadowing. Just enough to keep the reader hooked; or so I hope.

What’s your favourite villain entrance in literature and why?
